December Monthly Memo
Looking back on 2025 as we wrap up the year, I am incredibly grateful for everything that's happened at Calvert Catholic Schools, it's been a remarkable year. This time of year always makes me stop and think about what we have been given, and honestly, this community has brought us countless reasons to be thankful.
When I look back at the past year, I see a school that is growing in student shadowing, transforming with our students' liturgical interactions, and boldly moving toward a future shaped by our shared commitment to Catholic education. We have witnessed meaningful progress across academics, athletics, faith formation, community engagement, and student life. And none of this happened by chance. It happened because of YOU.
Our faculty and staff have poured their hearts into creating joyful, mission-centered learning environments. Our coaches have invested in our students both on and off the field, helping them become leaders of character. Our students continue to inspire us with their grit, faith, and determination. Our parents, community supporters, and alums have stepped forward in new and powerful ways, affirming, once again, that choosing a Catholic education at Calvert matters. It is a choice that shapes futures, strengthens families, and builds the kingdom of God here in our own community.
Because of each of you, we are not the same school we were one year ago. We are stronger, more unified, and more prepared to lead boldly into the next chapter. In the new year, we will launch a focused initiative to highlight the meaningful growth happening across our school and the strategic direction ahead. I look forward to sharing more with you soon.
But before we turn the page, it is essential to stop and give thanks.
This Advent season reminds us to prepare our hearts to slow down, to notice God’s presence, and to make room for the miracle of Christ’s birth. In the midst of busy schedules and year-end celebrations, may we hold tightly to the sacredness of this time and to the hope that Christmas brings.
On behalf of everyone at Calvert Catholic Schools, I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas. Please know that we are praying for each of you during this holiday season. Thank you for believing in our mission, for trusting us with your children, and for walking alongside us as we continue to grow, innovate, and serve.
May God continue to bless our school, our families, and our community as we enter a new year full of promise.
God Bless & Go Blue!
With gratitude,
Dr. Jeremy Marinis
