Dr. Marinis Monthly Memo- July 2026

As summer continues, I have found myself reflecting on everything that is happening at Calvert Catholic Schools. There is certainly a lot to be excited about.

The groundbreaking of the Dysard Athletic Complex represents a significant investment in our future. Improvements to our Activity Center continue to move forward. Every project taking shape across campus reflects our commitment to providing the very best environment for our students. But as exciting as these physical improvements are, they are not what make Calvert special. People do.

Every student who walks through our doors. Every family that entrusts us with their child's education. Every teacher who chooses to invest in the next generation. That is the foundation of Calvert Catholic Schools, and it always will be.

This summer, I am also proud to welcome four outstanding educators to our faculty. Brenda Burns joins us as our new high school math teacher, and Deanna King returns to Calvert to teach third grade, Kathy Miller to teach 1st grade, and Scott Knisely to teach academy Language Arts.

When we say Calvert is moving forward, we are not just talking about new facilities or campus improvements. We are talking about continuing to build a community where students are known, challenged academically, strengthened in their faith, and surrounded by people who genuinely care about them. We are talking about creating opportunities that prepare our students not only for college and careers, but for lives of purpose.

That mission only grows stronger because families continue to believe in it.

If you have been considering Calvert Catholic Schools for your family, I encourage you to start the conversation. Perhaps you have been weighing your options or wondering if now is the right time to make a change. I can confidently tell you there has never been a more exciting time to become part of the Calvert community.

Thank you to every family, educator, alumnus, donor, and supporter who continues to believe in Calvert Catholic Schools. Because of you, we continue moving forward together.

If you would like to learn more about enrolling your child or simply want to explore whether Calvert is the right fit for your family, I would encourage you to reach out to our Admissions Office at therbert@calvertcatholic.org. We'd love the opportunity to answer your questions, show you around campus, and share why so many families continue to choose Calvert.

I hope you and your family enjoy a safe, relaxing summer. We look forward to welcoming our students back soon and beginning another incredible year together.

God Bless & Go Blue!
