Dear Calvert Family,
As we move forward together in this season of growth and renewal at Calvert Catholic Schools, I want to offer my genuine appreciation for the many ways you continue to support our mission.
At Calvert Catholic Schools, our mission has always been clear: to form students spiritually, academically, physically, and socially in accordance with the Catholic intellectual tradition. This month, I am honored to share the establishment of a new endowed gift that will have a permanent impact on our students and our Catholic identity: the Joe and Eloise Granata Endowment.
This endowment, established through the vision and generosity of Mr. Michael Granata, the son of Joe and Eloise, is structured through the Calvert Catholic Schools Foundation to preserve the principal while allowing it to grow over time. Each year, the earnings from this endowed fund will be used to support Catholic formation initiatives such as mission travel, religious retreats, and faith-centered programming.
As Michael Granata shared, “Joe and Eloise have been long-time supporters of Calvert Catholic Schools and the community of Seneca County. This program will continue its support of Christian outreach to the community through the students at Calvert.
The Joe and Eloise Youth community outreach is a mission-focused initiative which will demonstrate the core Christian values shared by and lived by Joe and Eloise, specifically, faith in action, charity, and love for our neighbor.”
Gifts like the Joe and Eloise Granata Endowment are a beautiful example of legacy giving, an investment not only in today’s students but in the future of Catholic education at Calvert. We are deeply grateful to the Granata family for their faith-filled commitment and their belief in the lifelong impact of a Calvert education.
I invite our Calvert family to join me in prayerful gratitude for this extraordinary gift and for all those who feel called to support Calvert in lasting ways. If you have ever considered establishing an endowed fund, including Calvert in your estate plans, or supporting a specific area of our mission, I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you.
Together, through faith, generosity, and mutual purpose, we continue constructing a legacy that will shape hearts and minds for generations to come.
God Bless & Go Blue,
Dr. Jeremy Marinis
