Dear Calvert Community,
As we continue to move forward together, I am proud to share several moments that reflect the heart of Calvert Catholic Schools: academic excellence, deepened faith, and the formation of young people prepared to lead and serve.
This year, our students presented exceptional achievement on the state-sponsored ACT. The Junior students at Calvert demonstrated remarkable growth compared to previous years.
Even more notably, four of our students earned scored of 30 or higher, a distinction that reflects advanced college readiness and a devotion to academic excellence. These results are not by chance; they reflect intentional efforts, including the introduction of our ACT preparation course taught by Dr. Lyons and the dedication of both our students and staff. Calvert has also begun administering the ACT test to students beginning in their freshmen year to gain valuable practice and preparation. Together, they are building a culture where striving for quality is the standard.
Beyond the classroom, we witnessed something equally impactful: our junior class participated in their first-ever overnight retreat. It was genuinely inspiring to see their faith come alive in such a meaningful way. Through reflection, prayer, and community, our students accepted the opportunity to grow not only as individuals but as young men and women rooted in purpose and guided by their faith.
We are also incredibly proud to celebrate two Calvert students who were named among the Top 25 in the state through the Governor’s Art Show. Of 5,787 entries statewide, 1,167 advanced to regional winners. From there, only 250 pieces were selected for the main exhibition, and ultimately, just 25 were recognized at the highest level. To have Calvert students represented among the top 25 in the entire state of Ohio is a testament to their talent, creativity, and devotion to their craft. Congratulations to Lilly Dysard and Hope Waire for being recognized in the Top 25 and to Cohen Stull, Mya Steyer, and Scarlett Faber for being recognized in the main exhibition.
Each of these accomplishments, academic, spiritual, and artistic, represents more than individual success. They reflect who we are as a school community. At Calvert, we are not simply educating students; we are forming young people of character, faith, and purpose who will go on to make a meaningful impact in the world around them.
Thank you for your continued support and for being part of the Calvert community.
God Bless & Go Blue!
