Dear Calvert Family,
As we continue into the heart of summer, I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for the meaningful ways you support Calvert Catholic Schools. Your prayers, your encouragement, and your generosity fuel our mission to form leaders.
This month, I'd like to highlight a particularly inspiring form of giving: estate planning. Recently, we've been blessed by individuals who have included Calvert in their estate plans that will make significant contributions to our Calvert Foundation. These are generous gifts of treasure that make meaningful impact in operational areas of Calvert that align with the respective donors' passion, such as academic departments, religious formation, and/or physical plant needs. Please join me in offering a quiet prayer of gratitude for their selfless commitment to Calvert's future. Their legacy will live on for generations.
Building on this spirit of legacy giving, many of you have asked about endowed funds. These are gifts made to establish a permanent fund within our Calvert Foundation, the earnings (interest) of which support various initiatives each year, forever. It's a powerful way to ensure future students benefit from a Calvert education while honoring a loved one or family name.
For alums and friends who feel called to make a lasting impact, I'd love to begin a conversation with you. Whether you're interested in supporting a department you loved, contributing to a new initiative, or exploring legacy giving, there are many opportunities to leave your mark.
Helping a department—whether it's athletics, campus ministry, music, or STEAM—can profoundly shape the student experience. These investments build a legacy that continues to grow long after we're gone.
If you're interested in learning more about how you can contribute to this mission in a lasting way, please don't hesitate to reach out at jmarinis@calvertcatholic.org. Together, we are building the future of Calvert Catholic Schools—brick by brick, heart by heart.
God Bless & Go Blue,
Dr. Jeremy Marinis
